Face Coverings Will Be Required, Social Distancing Regulations Will Be in Place
DIGHTON — The Dighton Board of Selectmen would like to provide residents with several important details about the upcoming Special Town Meeting, and the procedures that will be implemented to help protect the health of residents who attend.
Dighton’s Special Town Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, Nov. 16 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School Auditorium, 2700 Regional Road, North Dighton.
“At our upcoming Special Town Meeting, we will have numerous safety protocols in place to ensure everyone’s health and well-being,” Board of Selectmen Chairman Brett Zografos said. “It is imperative that all of our residents adhere to these protocols and be patient during the process.”
Notable items on this meeting’s warrant include an article to purchase a hybrid vehicle for inspections, the creation of a police cruiser revolving fund and funding of a Conservation Agent position.
The Town of Dighton has implemented numerous precautions to ensure the safety and health of residents attending the meeting.
In accordance with Gov. Charlie Baker’s orders, face coverings will be required for entry. Additionally, socially distanced seating will be provided. Couples and/or people sharing a household will not be required to sit 6 feet apart.
