Holbrook Police Arrest and Charge Two on Multiple Drug Trafficking Charges

HOLBROOK — Chief William Smith reports that the Holbrook Police Department arrested a man and a woman on multiple drug charges Thursday.

RANDY CARVAJAL, AGE 27, and ELIZABETH VALENTIN, AGE 44, BOTH OF HOLBROOK, were both charged with:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl 
  • Trafficking Cocaine 
  • Possession of a Class E Drug (Clozapine)

At approximately 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, Holbrook Police, with the assistance of the Braintree, Quincy, Weymouth and Randolph Police Departments and the DEA Task Force Five, executed a search warrant at a residence at 110 Union St. in Holbrook. The search was the culmination of a multi-week investigation that was launched after police received information of drug sales in multiple communities.

Police seized 201 grams of fentanyl, 67.5 grams of cocaine and 48 clozapine pills, as well as $1,980. Two vehicles were also seized.

The amount of fentanyl seized has a street value of approximately $20,000 and the amount cocaine seized has a street value of approximately $7,000.

Investigating officers were all members of the South Shore Drug Task Force.

Both CARVAJAL and VALENTIN are currently being held at the Holbrook Police Department, and will be taken to Quincy District Court for arrangement.

“I would like to thank the Braintree, Quincy, Weymouth and Randolph Police Departments and DEA Task Force for their assistance, and commend the officers of the Holbrook Police Department for their work in taking these drugs off the street,” Chief Smith said. “It is a perfect example of multiple departments working together to make our communities a safer place for all.”

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
