Library to Remain Closed Sept. 28 to Oct. 2
BRIDGEWATER — Town Manager Michael Dutton, Health Agent Eric Badger and Library Director Jed Phillips announce that the Bridgewater Public Library will remain closed this week as two employees await the results of their COVID-19 tests.
Town officials were notified last week that two employees developed cold-like symptoms. The two employees were tested for COVID-19 last week and are still awaiting their results.
The library building is currently closed to the public and offers contact-free curbside pickup. Out of an abundance of caution the library was closed for curbside pickup on Friday last week and will remain closed from Sept. 28 through Oct. 2. An assessment will be made once the employees receive their test results and an announcement will be made about the potential reopening of the library for curbside pick up next week.
After receiving the report that the employees had symptoms possibly related to COVID-19, the Town hired a professional cleaning company to thoroughly sanitize and disinfect the library building.
