HANSON — Chief Michael Miksch reports that the Hanson Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at approximately 8:40 a.m., Hanson Police and Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Elm and Hudson Streets for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers found a 2010 Jeep Liberty, which had been operated by a 23-year-old female from Kingston, had been struck by a 2017 Honda CRV, operated by a 79-year-old female from Halifax.
Officers determined that the Jeep had been traveling south on Elm Street when the operator of the Honda pulled out of Hudson Street. The operator of the Honda did not appear to see the Jeep and the vehicles struck nearly head on.
The operator of the Honda was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
Both operators, as well as an infant who was a passenger in the Jeep, were transported to South Shore Hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
