BROOKLINE — Town Administrator Mel Kleckner announces that parking regulations will return to normal next month after a more than two-month suspension due to the coronavirus emergency.
Beginning June 1, Brookline Police will resume enforcement of metered parking, two-hour parking and overnight parking restrictions at the direction of the Select Board. Delivery and takeout parking zones that were established in March at the outset of the emergency have been extended to at least June 30 in order to facilitate ease of access for customers collecting takeout from restaurants.
Additionally, expanded pedestrian walkways will remain in effect until at least June 30.
Due to the ongoing challenges related to in-person services due to COVID-19, the Town of Brookline will not be conducting in-person appeals for parking violations. Appeals will be accepted by mail or e-mail only.
For questions about parking, contact the Brookline Police Department’s Traffic Division at 617-730-2230.
