ACTON — Chief Richard Burrows reports that the Acton Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred Thursday evening.
At 9:30p.m., Acton Police were dispatched to Long Ridge Road for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers determined that an 18-year-old male, who had suffered stab and slash wounds, had already been taken to a local hospital by a friend.
Through a preliminary investigation, Acton Police determined that the incident was not random and there is no danger to the public. The victim had been inside a vehicle parked on Long Ridge Road at the time of the incident.
The victim was subsequently transported to a Boston hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Acton Police are continuing to actively investigate this incident, and are continuing to search for suspects.
