BURLINGTON — Library Director Michael Wick announces that the Burlington Library will offer a series of online programs for patrons while the library is closed to the public as a precaution against COVID-19.
“When our library took steps to close to the public, our staff quickly mobilized to bring many of our services online, such as providing quality books, movies and music, as well as a way to obtain a library card by creating a Stay-At-Home Library,” said Director Wick. “Bringing our much-loved programs online was the second step in this effort. Patrons can now enjoy the same quality events they attended in-person at the library while remaining in the comfort of their homes.”
The online program series calendar can be found on the Burlington Public Library website. On the calendar, patrons can browse events and choose to sign up and attend programs suitable for all ages. These programs include virtual book club discussions, author discussions and more.
The virtual programs will be hosted through Zoom links or the Burlington Public Library’s Facebook page. Zoom links can be found in the description of the event on the calendar.
Patrons are encouraged to attend these virtual programs and share them with friends, family and neighbors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the library open?
No, the library is currently closed to public for the indefinite future.
What about my library materials?
BPL has extended due dates, expiration dates for holds and expiration dates for library cards so that accounts will not be impacted by the closure.
Can I return my library materials now?

Can I speak to a librarian?
Library staff are checking voicemail periodically, but it’s easiest for patrons to email a librarian. We miss the library, when will it reopen?
Believe us, patrons are the greatest part of being a librarian and we miss you too! We don’t have a date for reopening yet, but it will be communicated once it’s decided.
