BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher Delmonte reports that the Bridgewater Police Department arrested and charged a man on drug charges Wednesday following a motor vehicle stop.
SHAWN CONWAY, AGE 21, OF EAST BRIDGEWATER was charged with:
- Possession to Distribute Class C and Class D drugs (2 counts)
- Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol
- Operating Under the Influence of Drugs
- Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Marked Lanes Violation
- Open Container, Alcohol
- Speeding
At approximately 9:50 p.m. March 11, Bridgewater Police pulled over a black Infinity after observing multiple violations. After seeing signs of intoxication, it was determined that the driver, CONWAY, was impaired by drugs and alcohol and was placed under arrest.
During the on-scene investigation, officers located and seized a weight scale with multiple bags totaling nine pounds of marijuana, along with a half pound of “magic” mushrooms in five individual bags, THC extract, and 96 bundles of edibles packaged as “Nerds” THC candy.
CONWAY was transported to the Plymouth House of Correction. He was arraigned Thursday morning in Brockton District Court.
Officer Nicholas Chmielinski and Officer Matthew MacFadzen were the arresting officers
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
