ARLINGTON– Chief Julie Flaherty reports that the Arlington Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian crash where a man was seriously injured.
On Saturday, March 7 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Arlington Police received a 911 call reporting a pedestrian crash in the area of 112 Mass Ave. in Arlington.
Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year-old Baldwinville man who was laying in the roadway. The man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. As of this morning, the man is reported to be in stable condition.
The operator of the vehicle fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
An initial on-scene investigation showed that the suspect vehicle is likely a blue Honda Civic.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Arlington Police and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS).
