DRACUT — Chief Peter Bartlett reports that the Dracut Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was struck on Merrimack Avenue Wednesday night.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., on Wednesday, March 4, Dracut Police responded to the area of 197 Merrimack Ave. for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders located an 18-year-old Dracut woman who had been struck by Honda Civicand was suffering from non life-threatening injuries.
The victim was brought to a Lowell hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The driver of the Honda, a 63-year-old Dracut woman, remained on scene following the crash and was cooperative with police.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Dracut Police. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Officer Joe Cox at Dracut Police at 978-957-2123 ext. 2037.
