Proceeds to Benefit Bridgewater Police K-9 Unit
BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher Delmonte and the Bridgewater Police Department would like to invite residents to attend Mollie’s Annual Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog fundraiser.
WHEN:
Saturday, March 7 from 7-11 p.m.
WHERE:
The Bridgewater Vets Club, 85 Cottage St.
WHAT:
Family and friends are invited to attend Mollie’s 9th Annual Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog fundraiser this Saturday. At the event, attendees can enjoy dancing, raffles, K-9 demonstrations, a K-9 meet and greet, a Microsoft gaming station, henna tattoos, food and more.
The event is family-friendly and open to all. Tickets for the event may be purchased at the door. Tickets cost $20 per adult and $10 per child.
Mollie began her fundraiser nine years ago when she asked friends and family to give donations to Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog in lieu of gifts for her 10th birthday. Since then, Mollie has traded her birthday parties for an annual birthday fundraiser with the mission of “helping police dogs one paw at a time.”
Mollie chooses a different Massachusetts K-9 department to support each year. Since 2012, Mollie has raised funds for the Wareham Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, Plymouth Police Department, Plymouth County Area K-9 Units, Mansfield Police Department, West Bridgewater Police Department, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Old Colony Correctional Center and Bridgewater Police Department.
At this year’s fundraiser, all event proceeds will be donated to the Bridgewater Police Department’s K-9 Unit.
“We are very fortunate to have someone like Mollie supporting K-9 units across the state and here locally,” said Chief Delmonte. “Her selflessness has helped to provide local K-9 programs with valuable resources and tools needed to effectively carry out our mission. We are thankful for all of Mollie and her mother Stacey’s support and we look forward to another great event.”
Donations may be made in the form of Check, Paypal and raffle items. Checks should be made payable to “MA Vest-A-Dog, Inc.” and dropped off at the Bridgewater Police Station, 220 Pleasant St. Those who wish to donate raffle items can also drop them off at the Bridgewater Police Station. Online donations can be made here.
