At approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, Holbrook Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at EJ’s Gas Station, 400 South Frankin St. The clerk told officers that two men entered the store and demanded cash. The men fled from the store with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a red SUV.
The SUV, being driven by a woman, was seen entering the nearby Revere Acres neighborhood.
A short time later, responding officers located the vehicle and initiated a motor vehicle stop. The SUV came to an abrupt stop on Reeds Lane and two men fled from the vehicle on foot.
ENCARNACION was apprehended and placed in custody by Officer Jonathan Ortiz.
The second suspect fled into a wooded area and Holbrook Police K-9 Officer Casey Surprenant and Brockton Police K-9 Officer John Sturdevant arrived on scene to assist in the search.
Several officers responded to search for the suspect, including officers from the Brockton and Abington police departments.
Officers were unable to locate the man and he is currently be sought by police.
The man is described as a light-skinned black male with a beard and mustache, in his 30s-to-early-40s. The man spoke Spanish and was wearing black pants and a dark jacket with a gray hood.
The victim driver remained at the scene and spoke to officers. She had suffered minor injuries after being assaulted by the suspect who is at large. She declined medical treatment.
The case is being investigated by both the Holbrook and Brockton police departments. If anyone saw a man fitting the description given in the area of Reeds Lane Thursday, they are asked to call the Holbrook Police Department at 781-767-1212.
