CHELMSFORD — Police Chief James M. Spinney reports that the Chelmsford Police Department responded after a landscaper was struck by a falling tree this morning.
At 10:07 a.m., Chelmsford Police and Fire, as well as Trinity Ambulance, responded to 2 Chamberlain Road for a report of a man injured by a falling tree. Upon arrival, first responders determined that a landscaper working in the rear of the property was struck in the head by a tree that was being knocked down.
The 47-year-old male was subsequently transported by medical helicopter to a local trauma center with injuries that are serious but not believed to be life threatening.
