CANTON — Superintendent Jill Rossetti would like to invite media members to visit the Blue Hills Regional Technical School’s restaurant, The Chateau, next week.
Seniors and sophomores in the Culinary Arts program who are training and working in the restaurant will be available for interviews.
WHEN:
Media availability on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m.
WHERE:
The Chateau at Blue Hills Regional Technical School, 800 Randolph St., Canton
WHAT:
The Chateau allows students in the culinary program to train and work in a live restaurant setting. Approximately five or six students are assigned to each area – restaurant, bakery, line or catering – and work under the direction of their teachers. The students are trained in the role of each area, which helps them to explore their interests and develop their hospitality and culinary skills.
The restaurant’s current menu features appetizers, sandwiches and salads. The restaurant also has bakery and other prepared food items available for sale during the day.
After undergoing several months of renovations beginning in June 2019, The Chateau held its soft opening on Jan. 28.
The restaurant’s dedicated entrance is located on the east side of the building. Media are asked to park in the east lot and follow signs over the bridge to The Chateau.
