WRENTHAM — Principal Lisa Mobley is pleased to announce that six King Philip High School students received their Google Cloud Certifications in G Suite following the exam.
Throughout the first semester of school, students in the Internship in Technology class completed over 20 training modules through Google’s For Education Applied Digital Skills program. The Applied Digital Skills curriculum taught students computer skills from data analysis to research and communication to help prepare students for the two-hour G Suite certification exam.
Students who earn their G Suite certification have shown the ability to complete common workplace activities using cloud-based tools to create and share documents, spreadsheets, presentations and files. The Google Cloud Certified G Suite exam verifies proficiency in key features of the G Suite platform including Drive, Gmail, Hangout Meets, Docs, Sheets, Forms and Slides. The certification expires after two years.
“We are excited to see students receive their G Suite certifications after all of their hard work and dedication in the class last semester,” said Media Specialist Cheryl Rowe. “We look forward to the possibility of having students who received their certifications use their G Suite knowledge to offer training and support to the students and faculty at King Philip. Not only will their certification help them to succeed while at King Philip, but in their chosen future professions as well.”
Seniors James Covell, Shayne Graham and Kyle Hurley, and juniors Ashton Jaramillo, Izacc Mazzeo and Dylan Troiano all received their G Suite certifications. In addition to these students, senior Jack Denholm and junior Omar Abdalla have completed their training and will be taking the certification exam in the near future.
Students interested in pursuing G Suite training or who would like assistance in using any of the G Suite programs should reach out to Cheryl Rowe at rowec@kingphilip.org or to any of the aforementioned students.
