EASTON — Police Chief Gary Sullivan and Fire Chief Kevin Partridge would like to provide an update on Friday night’s two-vehicle crash and separate crash involving a pedestrian.

At approximately 10 p.m. Friday, Easton Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Belmont Street at the Stonehill College entrance.

Upon arrival, officers found a crash involving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and a 2013 Honda Odyssey.

The driver of the Honda Odyssey, a 46-year-old female, was flown by medical helicopter from the scene to Bringham and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries. The woman’s three passengers, children ages 10, nine and seven were transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the second vehicle declined medical treatment.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Easton officers responded to a location outside Maguire’s Restaurant, 503 Foundry St. in North Easton, for a report of a woman who was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot.

Officers arrived to find the woman sitting on the curb with severe injuries to her lower legs. The operator of the vehicle fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.

The 26-year-old victim was flown by medical helicopter to a Boston area hospital with serious injuries.

The incident is currently being investigated by detectives as a possible assault by means of a vehicle.

Easton Police have determined that the two incidents are not related. Both incidents remain under active investigation by the Easton Police Department, and more information may be released as it becomes available.

Chief Sullivan and Chief Partridge would both like to recognize the great work by the Easton police and fire personnel during this busy night.
