Lynnfield Center Water District Reminds Apple Hill Customers to Complete Water Quality Survey
LYNNFIELD – Superintendent John Scenna and the Lynnfield Center Water District would like to remind residents in the Chestnut Street, Lowell Street, North Hill and Apple Hill areas of town to complete a water quality survey.
The survey was mailed to homes and is also available online at lcwd.us/applehillsurvey/. The survey gives customers an opportunity to provide valuable feedback to the District and its consultant engineers, CDM Smith, that will guide future work to alleviate ongoing water discoloration issues in that area of the system.
To complete the 11 question survey online, customers should click here and select their address from a dropdown list of properties within the Apple Hill area.
This survey is a component of a larger program to collect information about water quality at homes within the affected neighborhoods. The results will help guide the development of potential operational improvements to provide better consistency in water distribution and quality, all while long term capital programs continue to be designed, developed and ultimately funded for construction.
“It’s extremely important for customers in this area of the system to complete the survey so that we can have the broadest possible understanding of the issues that need to be addressed,” Superintendent Scenna said. “This is a key step in the process of developing both short term operational improvements as well as a long-term capital improvement plan, and customer feedback will be a significant factor in guiding our future plans.”
So far, approximately 100 customers have filled out the survey, and the District would like as many customers as possible to do so before the deadline, which is Friday, Jan. 17.
