Medway High School Seniors Receive Award Sponsored by New England School Development Council
MEDWAY — Superintendent Armand Pires is pleased to announce that two Medway High School seniors were awarded with the National School Development Council (NESDEC) Award for Academic Growth and Student Leadership in Learning.
The award was given to seniors Sadie Green and Erica Paille in recognition of their academic achievements and accomplishments in their high school years. Both seniors have strong academic performances and hold student leadership positions.
“Medway Public Schools was proud to select Sadie and Erica to receive the NESDEC Award for Academic Growth and Student Leadership in Learning,” Superintendent Pires said. “These students are great role models for our district and truly embody the characteristics and commitment to learning that every student should strive for.”
Sadie Green was recognized at the school committee meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21. Green is currently a senior at the top of her class at Medway High School. She is enrolled in five Advanced Placement courses and is an esteemed member of the school’s National Honor Society.
During her time at Medway High School, Green has been active member of the Anti-Defamation League’s A World of Difference Program, the Band and Jazz ensemble, the International Thespian Society and the Society of Hispanic Honors. Green is also a peer mentor at the school.
Erica Paille was recognized at the school committee meeting on Thursday, Dec. 12. Paille has excelled both academically and socially throughout her time at Medway High School. Her hard work and strong performances in the classroom earned her induction into the school’s National Honor Society. Paille is also a peer counselor and serves as the Peer Counseling Vice President.
In addition to these roles, Paille is a member of the varsity volleyball team, a member of the 533 Community Service Club, part of the Anti-Defamation League and a dietary aid at Medway Country Manner.
