Randolph Fire Chief Encourages Residents to Take 2020 Municipal Firefighter Written Exam
Interested Local Applicants Encouraged to Register
RANDOLPH – Chief Richard Donovan encourages local residents interested in pursuing a career with the Randolph Fire Department to take the 2020 Municipal Firefighter written examination, which has been announced for March.
The exam is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, with an application deadline of Feb. 18. A late fee will be assessed to those who file their applications later than Feb. 4, so candidates are encouraged to apply early.
“We are always looking to add to our roster of highly qualified personnel,” Chief Donovan said. “We hope to see a large pool of candidates from Randolph apply for this exam.”
The exam is meant to establish an eligible list from which to fill firefighter vacancies in civil service cities and towns in Massachusetts.
To be eligible, applicants must be at least 19 years of age on or before Feb. 18, 2020.
There is an examination fee of $200 to participate. Written exams will be held at various sites across the state.
Interested candidates can apply online at MASS.GOV/CivilService. For more information, call 617-878-9895, or 1-800-392-6178 if outside the Boston area.
