At approximately 8:20 a.m., the Acton Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a crash on Great Road near the intersection of Meyer Hill Drive.
Upon arrival, first responders came upon a Nissan Versa that has sustained heavy damage. A female driver and female passenger were trapped inside of the vehicle. Acton firefighters used a hydraulic extrication tool to free both women.
The driver was taken by ambulance to nearby NARA Park, where she was then picked up by a medical helicopter and flown to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in critical condition.
