Middleborough Police Investigating Unarmed Bank Robbery

MIDDLEBOROUGH — Chief Joseph Perkins reports that the Middleborough Police Department is investigating an unarmed robbery at a bank Saturday afternoon and is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. today, Middleborough Police responded to Santander Bank, 77 Center St., for a report of a bank robbery.

A white male, wearing a light gray or white zip up sweater with black plaid, entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect is described as being approximately six-feet-tall with dark, graying hair and short facial hair.

The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The Middleborough Police Department is asking anyone who may have information about this incident or can identify the suspect to call the police station at 508-947-1212.
