Two Chelmsford Police Officers Graduate from Police Academy
CHELMSFORD – Chief James Spinney is pleased to announce that Officer Steven Buckley and Officer Shawn Lefebvre graduated from the Lowell Police Academy last week.
The officers completed 22 weeks of rigorous and intensive training at the Lowell Police Academy. Officer Buckley has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Westfield State University and Officer Lefebvre has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Endicott College. Both Officers are also Chelmsford High School alumni.
They were recognized at a graduation ceremony at the Lowell Auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 17.
“Officers Buckley and Lefebvre have worked incredibly hard to graduate from the academy, and have demonstrated that they are deeply invested in law enforcement,” Chief Spinney said. “We’re thrilled to congratulate them on their graduation, and look forward to their careers with our department.”
Officers Buckley and Lefebvre will now begin an extensive 10-12 week field training program through the Chelmsford Police Department, pairing each with a veteran officer before they assume their full duty positions as patrol officers.
