Blue Hills Regional Technical School to Host Annual Open House for Prospective Students on Nov. 6
CANTON — Superintendent Jill Rossetti is pleased to invite prospective students and their families to attend the Blue Hills Regional Technical School’s annual open house next month.
The event is geared toward showing potential Blue Hills students and their family members the hands-on experience and quality education students receive at the regional technical high school.
WHEN:
Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
WHERE:
Blue Hills Regional Technical School, 800 Randolph St., Canton
WHO:
Students who are in sixth, seventh and eighth grade and are interested in potentially attending Blue Hills Regional are encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian.
WHAT:
“At BHR, our students not only discover what it is that they like to do and what they’re good at, they take that education with them, whether they’re college-bound or headed into the workforce, and use it to their advantage,” Superintendent Rossetti said. “Our students are passionate about what they’re learning and they graduate with a level of experience and knowledge that helps them to excel in whatever path they choose after high school.”
In addition to a robust academic curriculum that includes AP courses for college credit, Blue Hills students can focus on a number of practical and technical disciplines including:

- Automotive Technology
- Computer Technology
- Construction Technology
- Cosmetology
- Culinary Arts
- Criminal Justice
- Design and Visual Communications
- Drafting/CAD
- Early Education & Care
- Electrical Technology
- Electronics
- Engineering Technology
- Graphic Communications
- Health Occupations
- Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Metal Fabrication
At the Open House, those who attend will see the advanced technology and equipment students use, meet teachers who are industry experts and learn about ways that students can fund their future using their career tech experience.
Outside of the classroom, students will be able to apply for paid internships, participate in fun extracurricular activities and sports, take hands-on training courses and utilize the valuable network of professional connections that staff and alumni have to offer.
Blue Hills students expand their options, get involved, are college- and career-ready and gain a real competitive advantage that college admissions officers and hiring managers look for in prospective employees.
