Bridgewater Police to Receive Help from Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School Students for Building Project
BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher Delmonte would like to inform residents that construction is progressing on the BPD outbuilding that will replace two older storage sheds currently located in the parking lot behind the Bridgewater Police station.
The building will be used primarily for secure, weather-tight storage and garage space that will prevent freezing of equipment inside emergency response vehicles during the winter.
Earlier this year, Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School accepted the project as its 2019-2020 school construction project at no cost to the town.
Although some local trades for specific parts of the project will be utilized, the bulk of the work will be performed by B-P students during the course of this school year.
The anticipated completion date is the summer of 2020.
“We are very thankful to have been chosen by the Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School as their student building project for the year,” Chief Delmonte said. “We are excited to see how the project will progress in the coming months and seeing the great work the students will be doing. This space will be valuable as the two current sheds have been reinforced multiple times but must be replaced soon.”
