Rochester Fire Department Shares Updates to New Hampshire Fire Code
ROCHESTER – Chief Mark Klose and the Rochester Fire Department wish to make the community aware of updates to the state fire code.
The state of New Hampshire has adopted the National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) 2015 edition fire code. The change went into effect on Sept. 8. The changes include updates to building, residential, plumbing, fire and life safety codes, among others.
“Fire prevention and protection are core components of keeping our residents safe, and these updates go a long way toward ensuring that we’re doing the most we can as a state and community to do just that,” Chief Klose said. “We want residents, builders and property owners to be aware of these updates, and we’ll take an active role in ensuring that building in Rochester are up to code.”
