Ludlow Police Issue Traffic Advisory for Intersection of Route 21 and Chapin Street
LUDLOW — Chief Paul Madera would like to notify residents and drivers about a traffic advisory at the intersection of Center Street (Route 21) and Chapin Street.
On Sunday, there was a malfunction at the intersection that caused the traffic lights to stop working properly. The Ludlow Public Works Department responded to attempt to fix the issue, but were unable to do so.
An outside agency will be brought in on Monday to fix the issue.
In the meantime, all lights at the intersection will be flashing red and the intersection will be a four-way stop until the issue is resolved.
Drivers at the intersection and in the immediate area are asked to proceed with caution. Commuters on Monday morning may want to seek alternate routes as there will be traffic delays expected in the area.
Notification will be made once the lights are fully functioning and back to normal.
Chief Madera would like to thank residents for their patience in advance while the issue is being resolved.
