Easton School Planning Committee to Host Community Forum on Early Elementary School Project, Aug. 15
Vital Input Sought from Residents About Project
EASTON — Superintendent Lisha Cabral would like to notify Easton parents and residents about two upcoming community forums to discuss the Easton Early Elementary School Project.
“We are looking to get the word out about this project as much as we can so that residents are fully educated and informed when it comes time to vote,” Superintendent Cabral said. “Although we have been working on this project for over two years, we have not seen a lot of turnout from residents at the previous public forums and we want to give those who have questions about the project the opportunity to ask them well in advance of decision-making time in October.”
WHEN:
Thursday, Aug. 15 at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
WHERE:
- 3 p.m. – Easton Senior Center, Frothingham Hall Community Center, 15 Barrows St.
- 6:30 p.m. – Oliver Ames High School cafeteria, 100 Lothrop St.
The same information will be discussed and presented at both meetings.
WHAT:
The Easton School Planning Committee, will be hosting the two community forums on the same day in order to give residents an overview of where the current plans for the project stand.
One of the topics discussed during the meetings will be the potential options for where the Easton Public School’s administrative offices will be located if the building project is approved.
Those in attendance will be able to ask questions and provide important feedback to school officials about the project.
“These particular forums on August 15th will be important because discussions will be held about whether to relocate the district’s central offices or not, if the project is approved,” Superintendent Cabral said. “We will be going over the options for where the district offices could potentially be relocated to and welcome the community’s input. The School Planning Committee will be voting on whether to include central office space in the scope of the project on Aug 21st.”
