Burlington Police and Fire Departments to Host Annual Community Safety Night
BURLINGTON — Police Chief Michael Kent and Fire Chief Steven Yetman are pleased to announce that the Burlington Police and Fire Departments will once again host Community Safety Night this summer.
“We look forward to this event every year and are excited to meet with our community members in a fun and relaxed environment,” Police Chief Kent said. “We want to thank Wegmans for their continued sponsorship and support.”
WHEN:
Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 5-7 p.m. The event will happen rain or shine.
WHERE:
Wegmans parking garage, 53 3rd Ave.
WHAT:
The free event is open to adults and children of all ages. Those who attend can get up close views of police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances and equipment used by the town’s first responders.
There will also be K-9 demonstrations and live music featuring dueling pianos, which guests can enjoy while snacking on free hot dogs.
Police officers and firefighters will be on hand to meet residents and answer questions.
“We encourage residents of all ages to join the Fire and Police Departments for our annual community event,” Fire Chief Yetman said. “Last year was a huge success and we’re hope to replicate it this year.”
