Easton Police and Fire Departments Respond to Serious Single-Car Crash

EASTON — Police Chief Gary Sullivan and Fire Chief Kevin Partridge report that the Easton Police and Fire Departments responded to a serious single-car crash into a utility pole Saturday night.

At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, Easton police and firefighters responded to a report of a car crash into a utility pole on Lincoln Street. Upon arrival, police and firefighters found that a Toyota Camry had struck a utility pole, splitting the pole in three places.

A 17-year-old girl, of Easton, had been driving the vehicle and was alone in the car. She sustained serious, life threatening injuries in the crash.

Firefighters called for a medical helicopter to transport the teen to a Boston hospital, but the helicopter was unable to come due to inclement weather. The teen was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, and was later taken to Boston Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation by the Easton Police Department.
