Tyngsborough Police Investigating after Man Found Dead in Woods

TYNGSBOROUGH — Tyngsborough Chief of Police Richard Howe and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan have confirmed that the body of a missing Tyngsborough man was found today.

At approximately 12:15 p.m. Tyngsborough Police reported to the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office that a body had been located roughly 30 feet off Buckhill Road in a wooded area.

The decedent, identified as John Porter, 65, of Tyngsborough, had been reported missing to Tyngsborough Police on July 4 at approximately 12:15. p.m.

This is an open investigation being conducted by the he Tyngsborough Police Department, Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. No foul play is suspected.
