Pepperell Police Arrest Man for Distributing Fentanyl
PEPPERELL — Chief David Scott reports that the Pepperell Police Department arrested a man for allegedly distributing Fentanyl near the town’s bicycle path.
JOSHUA CHRISTIANSEN, AGE 25, OF PEPPERELL is charged with Distributing a Class A Drug (Fentanyl) and Resisting Arrest.
On Friday, June 28, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Pepperell Police and officers from surrounding towns were conducting surveillance around the Rail Trail parking lot when they observed CHRISTIANSEN make a hand to hand transaction.
Officers then approached CHRISTIANSEN, who fled on foot. Pepperell Police Officer Daniel Adams subsequently apprehended CHRISTIANSEN and placed him under arrest.
“Pepperell, like many other police departments in the area, has taken a guardian mindset over the past few years when it comes to individuals involved with illegal substance use,” Chief Scott said. “Our goal is to help to those suffering from substance use disorders recover from this disease, and there are resources available for those in need through our Community Outreach Initiative Network program. That being said, we have zero tolerance for people distributing drugs in our town and will continue to investigate and apprehend those involved in that activity.”
The Pepperell Police Department offers assistance to anyone suffering from a mental health or a substance use disorder through its COIN program. For more information, call 508-488-5072.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
