Bedford Police Department Renewing Tradition of Rewarding Kids’ Good Behavior

BEDFORD — Chief Robert Bongiorno is pleased to announce that the Bedford Police Department’s officers will be on the lookout for well behaved children, renewing a summer tradition.

Kids “caught” doing the right thing this summer — such as wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle, crossing the street safely and other positive behaviors — will be rewarded with ice cream coupons by officers. The ice cream coupons are provided courtesy of Bedford Farms.

“This tradition is something all of our officers look forward to, and we’re excited to spend the summer looking out for kids who are making safe decisions and modeling good behavior,” Chief Bongiorno said. “I want to thank Bedford Farms for supporting this program once again, as well as our officers who have continued to embrace this fun summer activity.”

The coupon can be used at any Bedford Farms shops, which are located in Bedford, Burlington and Concord.
