Easton Police, School Officials Address Rumors Circulating Following Alleged Threat Made by Student
Rumors Unfounded — No Credible Threat or Danger to School Community
EASTON — Police Chief Gary Sullivan and Superintendent Lisha Cabral are today addressing rumors that have been circulating on social media following a verbal threat that a student allegedly made toward another student at the Easton Middle School this week.
On Monday night, Easton Middle School officials were notified that a student had allegedly verbally threatened to harm another student during the school day. School officials immediately launched an investigation and notified Easton Police. The student who made the alleged threat was punished in accordance with the school district’s student code of conduct, and school and police officials determined that the threat was not credible.
This afternoon, rumors have begun to circulate about this incident, and parents have made inquiries about these rumors to police and school officials. Officials have determined that the rumors are unfounded and that there is no danger to the school community.
Anyone who has further questions concerns should contact the Easton Public Schools administrative office at 508-230-3202.
