Easton Fire Department Responds to Fatal Crash

Turnpike Street at Purchase Street Closed

Drivers Asked to Seek Alternate Routes

EASTON — Chief Kevin Partridge reports that the Easton Fire Department responded to a serious crash at the intersection of Turnpike and Purchase Streets where two people were killed Thursday evening.

At approximately 6:36 p.m., the Easton Fire and Police Departments responded to a report of a serious crash on Turnpike Street.

Upon arrival, first responders came upon two vehicles that had collided.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries and later died.

A third person was transported to an area hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section unit was called to the scene to investigate.

Turnpike Street will be closed while the scene is still active. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

All inquiries for further information should be directed to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.
