Reminder: Deadline for Rockland Dog License Renewal Monday, April 1

ROCKLAND — Animal Control Officer Ian Davidson and Town Clerk Donna Shortall would like to remind residents that the deadline to renew dog licenses for Rockland residents is April 1.

If your dog’s tag is not purple, then it is time to renew your dog license.

To renew your dog’s license online click here. Or you can visit the Town Clerk’s office or mail a check to the Rockland Town Clerk’s office, 242 Union St., #1, Rockland, MA 02370. Checks can be made payable to the Rockland Town Clerk.

The fee for spayed or neutered dogs is $7. The fee for dogs that are not spayed or neutered is $10. If you miss the April 1 deadline, a late fee of $25 per dog will be issued on May 1.

If you have a new dog that needs to be licensed, you will need the following:

• A copy of a valid rabies certificate & certificate of spaying/neutering
• Appropriate license fee (per dog)
  -Spayed or Neutered  – $7
  -Not Spayed or Neutered – $10
• Filled out request form
