Wrentham’s St. Patty’s Day Brunch for Veterans a Success
WRENTHAM — Town Administrator Kevin Sweet is pleased to announce that the St. Patty’s Day Brunch for Veterans on Sunday was a success.
The brunch was organized by Wrentham Veteran’s Agent Michael Hennessy and was held in the ballroom of Lake Pearl Wrentham.
Approximately 100 veterans and their family members attended the event and dined on corned beef and cabbage, in addition to eggs, bacon, hash browns, chicken Marsala, vegetables, salad, breakfast pastries, fruit and carrot cake.
Those in attendance included Selectmen Chairman Joseph F. Botaish, II, Selectman Jerry McGovern, Selectman Steve Langley, Selectman Jerry Nolan, Fire Chief Antonio Marino, Council on Aging Director Janet Angelico, Town Administrator Sweet, as well as members of the Wrentham Fire and Police Departments.
“We had a great time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with some of the area’s veterans,” Town Administrator Sweet said. “I want to thank Mike Hennessy for putting on this great event for the veterans and am already looking forward to the next event.”
Several sponsors helped to make the event possible and multiple businesses donated items to the raffles.
