Bedford Police and Fire Respond to Ambulance Crash
BEDFORD, N.H. — Police Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police and Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash between an ambulance and a sedan Tuesday.
At 1:15 p.m., police and fire were called to the intersection of Route 101 and Jenkins Road for a motor vehicle crash. An ambulance for the Town of Amherst was transporting a patient to Elliot Hospital in Manchester when the collision occurred.
The patient that was being transported by the Amherst ambulance before the crash was transferred to a Bedford Fire Department ambulance and taken to Elliot Hospital. Other individuals involved in the crash were evaluated by EMS personnel at the scene and declined further medical treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Department. The Bedford Police Department is asking anyone with information on the crash to contact Officer Tony Ssonko at 603 472 5113.
