Vehicle from Burlington Carjacking Located in Revere, 4 in Custody
BURLINGTON — Chief Michael Kent reports that the 2018 Audi sedan taken at gunpoint from a resident on Monday evening was recovered after it crashed in Revere early Tuesday morning. Four suspects have been taken into custody by the Revere Police Department.
Burlington Police were notified by Revere that the Audi crashed in that city on Rt. 1A. The four suspects are all male juveniles. Two BB guns were also recovered by police.
Background:
Burlington Police responded to 26 Beacon St., in the parking lot of the Beacon Village apartment community at 7:23 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, officers met with a visibly shaken adult male who said that he had just pulled into his parking space after arriving home from work and was checking his email on his phone when a man opened the driver’s side door, put a gun in his chest, and forced him from the vehicle. At least three suspects got into the vehicle and sped off. The victim was not physically injured.
This is an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
