Saugus Police Investigating Shots Fired Incident

SAUGUS — Interim Police Chief Ronald Giorgetti reports that the Saugus Police Department is investigating an incident where shots were fired at a home Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 4:40 p.m., Saugus Police responded to a home on High Street after receiving a report of gunshots in the area.

Upon arrival, investigating officers learned that multiple shots had been fired at a home and that the home had been struck by the gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses told police that a small dark colored SUV pulled up to the house and fired at the house three times before fleeing at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was last seen fleeing toward Cliftondale Avenue and Adams Avenue.

The incident remains under active investigation. Anyone who has information about the incident or who may have seen a dark colored SUV in the area driving at a high rate of speed is asked to call the Saugus Police Department at 781-233-1740.
