Lynnfield Center Water District to Seek Voter Authorization to Begin Superintendent Search

Special District Meeting Scheduled for Feb. 25

LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Center Water District announces that it will host a Special District Meeting next month as it begins its search for a new superintendent.

The Special District Meeting will take place on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in the Lynnfield Middle School Cafeteria, 505 Main St.

The meeting will ask voters to decide on two warrant articles, including selecting someone to fill a vacant seat on the Board of Commissioners that opened when former commissioner and Superintendent Kenneth Burnham retired earlier this month.

Voters will also be asked to authorize the Board of Commissioners to begin recruiting Burnham’s replacement as the district superintendent, while also enabling it to fill the position on an interim basis while the search for a full-time hire is ongoing.

Special District Meetings are open to all registered voters who reside in the district.
