BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a road rage suspect.
On Thursday at 8:35 a.m., Bedford Police were called to the end of Boynton Street near the intersection of Rt. 101 for a reported assault in progress and a dispute between two motorists.
The alleged aggressor fled toward Rt. 114 before the arrival of police, and officers spoke to the victim who said he was accosted by a passenger of a gray Hyundai or similar four-door sedan. According to the account, the assailant, described as a white male with a large build, exited a rear door of the sedan wearing a ski mask and approached the victim and got into an physical altercation with him. The victim remained in the vehicle and the suspect eventually returned to the sedan and was driven away.
Police canvassed the area, and surveillance footage as obtained that appeared to show some sort of road rage incident.
The suspect’s vehicle, seen in the video and images, is missing a passenger side front hubcap, and the driver’s side front hubcap appears to be broken. The vehicle was also occupied by two white females in the front seats, one driving and one as a passenger.
Anyone who may have seen this altercation or has any information on the suspect’s vehicle is asked to call Bedford Police at 603-472-5113.
