Manchester-by-the-Sea to Hold Final Master Plan Community Meeting
MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Town Planner Sue Brown would like to invite residents to attend the final community meeting on the proposed master plan recommendations next month.
WHEN:
Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 6-8 p.m.
WHERE:
Manchester Essex Regional High School dining hall, 36 Lincoln St.
WHAT:
The Master Plan Committee has been working since 2017 to identify, test, revise and confirm the plan’s recommendations for housing, economic development, open space and recreation, natural and cultural resources, transportation, public facilities and services, resiliency, land use and governance.
Following a brief introduction and presentation, members of various town boards and committees will be available at information stations around the venue to answer questions about the master plan recommendations and the approach to implementing them.
Residents’ ideas, concerns and preferences have been received through focus group meetings, surveys, board and committee meetings and large community forums throughout the planning process.
The Dec. 5 meeting will serve as a continuation of an engagement process that has reached hundreds of residents and other community members. This is the final community-wide meeting before the master plan is finalized, approved and adopted by the Planning Board.
A draft of the master plan and its recommendations will be available on the Town’s website by Nov. 28, at Town Hall and the library.
