Tyngsborough Police Join Pink Patch Project to Support Breast Cancer Research
TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe is pleased to announce that the Tyngsborough Police Department is participating in the Pink Patch Project this month.
The Pink Patch Project is a collaborative effort among public safety agencies nationwide to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support cancer research organizations.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and beginning this week, the Tyngsborough Police Department is selling a limited number of pink patches. Patches will cost $10 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Dana Farber Cancer Research Center.
Additionally, many officers will be wearing the pink patch throughout October.
“Everyone knows somebody who has been impacted by this illness in some way, we are proud to take part in such an important cause,” Chief Howe said. “I want to specifically thank Officer Tim Sullivan for his work in putting this program together, and all of our officers who have taken part to support the fight to end breast cancer.”
Residents can also stop by the police department at 20 Westford Road or make a direct donation by using the following link; www.myjimmyfundevent.org/2018/tyngsboroughpolice.
The Tyngsborough Police Department cannot accept cash.
