Whitman Fire Department Invites Residents to Open House
WHITMAN — Chief Timothy J. Grenno would like to invite all families and residents to attend an open house at the Whitman Fire Department, as part of National Fire Prevention Week programming in October.
WHEN:
Monday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE:
Whitman Fire Department, 56 Temple St.
WHAT:
Under the direction of Whitman Fire/Rescue SAFE Officer Thomas Ford, department firefighters and paramedics will teach families the importance of fire safety and prevention.
National Fire Prevention Week is from Oct. 7-13.
In a fire, every second counts. It is important for members of our community to know what to do if there is a fire. Fire safety education isn’t just for school children.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere,” works to educate people about three ways they can reduce the likelihood of having a fire—and how to escape safely if they have one.

This is a free event, and all are welcome. If you have any questions, call the Whitman Fire Department at 781-447-7677.
