Raynham Police Department to Participate in Pink Patch Project

RAYNHAM — Chief James Donovan is pleased to announce that the Raynham Police Department will be participating in the Pink Patch Project.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and through the Raynham Pink Patch Project, the department will be selling pink versions of department’s patch. The money raised from the sale of the limited edition patches will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

“Unfortunately, breast cancer affects many people in Raynham and throughout the world every year,” Chief Donovan said. “I am glad that our department can do our small part toward finding a cure for this devastating disease.”

Look for the fine officers of the Raynham Police Department as they proudly display the pink patches on their uniforms throughout the month of October.

Patches are available to purchase for $10 apiece and can be picked up at the Raynham Police Department, 53 Orchard St., and for $13 each by mail. Cash, money orders or checks made out to the Raynham Pink Patch Project are accepted.

To request a patch via email, please contact Sgt. Anthony Barbour at [email protected].

The Pink Patch Project is a collaborative effort between the Los Angeles County Police Chiefs’ Association and public safety agencies nationwide. These agencies have joined together through the project to combat breast cancer by raising both public awareness and funds for breast cancer education, research and treatment.
