Arlington Police Investigating Convenience Store Robbery
ARLINGTON — Chief Frederick Ryan reports that the Arlington Police Department is investigating a convenience store robbery that occurred earlier today.
Police responded to Mass Convenience, 86 Warren St., at 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, officers were met by the clerk who told them that a man had walked into the store and requested change for a $100 bill. The suspect then went behind the counter and demanded money from the clerk, threatening to harm him.
The suspect fled with an unknown quantity of cash in a blue pickup truck that possibly has red and white stripes on the rear and sides.
The suspect is described as a black male, who is approximately 30-50 years old, 5 foot 11 inches and has a medium build.
Investigators are currently working to retrieve video surveillance footage from the store.
