Fairhaven Police Investigating After Body Found in Water

FAIRHAVEN — Lt. Kevin Kobza reports that the Fairhaven Police Department is investigating after a man’s body was found in the water near a marina Monday night.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., Fairhaven Police responded to Moby Dick Marina, 2 River Ave., and located the body of an adult man in the water near two boats.

The Massachusetts State Police Crime Prevention and Control (CPAC) Unit has been called to assist with the investigation.

Police are working to positively identify the man in order to notify his next of kin.

The investigation is active and ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
