Canton Fire Department Responds to Residential Construction Site Fall

CANTON — Chief Charles E. Doody reports that the Canton Fire Department responded to a residential construction site where a man fell from the second floor of a home Tuesday morning.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., the Canton Fire Department received a report of a construction worker that fell at 49 Beaumont St., where two homes are in the early stages of construction.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a 19-year-old man who had accidentally fallen about 15 feet to the ground from the second floor of one of the houses. The man was working at the construction site at the time of the incident.

The man suffered serious injuries and was taken by a Canton Fire Department ambulance to Boston Medical Center. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
