Ipswich Police Confirm Man Missing from The Crane Estate Found Safe
IPSWICH — Chief Paul A. Nikas and the Ipswich Police Department wish to thank the several regional and statewide agencies that provided mutual aid today after a man went missing from a group of men walking on the property of The Crane Estate.
The man, a 35-year-old Beverly resident, was found safely. He had walked from Ipswich to his home in Beverly.
The man had last been seen at approximately 4:30 a.m. Friday. He was walking on the property with a group of friends when they lost sight of him. The men searched for him before calling police at approximately 7 a.m.
Ipswich Police searched the area and used all-terrain vehicles to assist them. A helicopter from the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing also assisted in the search. The Ipswich Police Department also activated K-9 units from Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council member agencies before the search was called off when the man was found safe shortly after noontime.
