Boxborough Police Department Invites Residents to Attend Bike Rodeo Event
BOXBOROUGH — Chief Warren B. Ryder would like to invite community members to the Boxborough Police Department’s inaugural bike rodeo, where officers will be on hand to provide free inspections and share important safety tips.
WHEN:
Thursday, June 14, 2-3 p.m.
WHERE:
Boxborough Fire Station, 502 Massachusetts Ave.
WHAT:
The Boxborough Police Department, in partnership with Pedal Power Bike & Ski of Acton, will check the safety of bikes and helmets, inform attendees about bicycle laws and explain how to effectively and safely share the road with pedestrians and motor vehicles.
The overall goal of the event is to promote safety for bicyclists, drivers and pedestrians.
Attendees are asked to bring their own bikes and helmets to the rodeo.
“We are excited to hold our first bike rodeo for the community,” Chief Ryder said. “As we get into the summer months and residents spend more time outside on their bikes, we want to ensure that they know the rules of the road.”
